Ravaging Canines dominated the second eNTRAMURAL League 2021 dubbed as Dilaab 2021 and bested the other three stronghearted clusters at the conclusion of the week-long online festivities last November 19, 2021.

The Canines composed College of Accountancy and Business Education (CABE), College of Computer Studies (CCS), and College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) dazzled throughout the pageantry of talents which started on November 12, 2021.

Canine’s domination of the online events was evident after garnering,3, 020 points, more than enough to pocket the coveted title.

The event mainly composed of six categories, the eGAMES, eDANCE, eCOOLtura, eLIT, eBOARDS, and eNVIRONMENTAL, and other special events namely Mr. and Ms. eNTRAMURAL League 2021, Musical Theme Song Composition, GIF and Banner Making Competition, with over 38 total events commenced and initiated through video submissions and live streams.

Following the Canines’ podium finish were Coalition of Cheetahs, comprised of the College of Nursing (CN), College of Teacher Education (CTE), College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), and College of Human Environmental Sciences and Food Studies (CHEFS), accumulating 2,120 points to settle in the second place of the online tourney.

Serenading Serpents, represented by the College of Pharmacy and Chemistry (CPC) and the College of Music (CM), garnering 2,050 points placed third in the standings while the Shadow Chimeras, a stand-alone cluster by the College of Medical and Biological Sciences (CMBS) rounded up the standings as the fourth placer pocketing over 1,630 points.

Ley Nicole Jangolan, the University Student Government (USG) President praised the students, faculty members and the entire University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) community for the success of the event.

“This year’s eNTRAMURAL League became a platform for the students not just to show their talents and skills but also a way for them to enjoy and unlock opportunities that would help them grow individually. Despite the online set up, I am so proud and happy to see that our students were united to support not just their own clusters but the whole UIC community. They showed how strong we are as one Ignacian Marian family,” said Jangolan.

With euphoria and smiles on their faces, the UICians ended the virtual eNTRAMURAL with fulfillment, celebrating the ceremony while preserving the values of a true Ignacian Marian.

The event was made possible through the leadership of the UIC-USG under the guidance of the Office of Student Affairs Director and USG Adviser Ms. Anaflor Sacopayo, MBA.

“It was tough because we cannot meet each other physically and there are a lot of factors that hinder us from connecting efficiently. However, we are thankful that we got all the support that we needed from Ma’am Anna, school administrators, and the MIS for us to produce Dilaab 2021,” Jangolan added.

“It gives everyone the avenue to unite as one and display their talents and abilities despite the crisis that we are facing. Another thing is that, it makes us have fun even just for a while and forget about the academic responsibilities,” said Bern Joshua Alicaya from CTE, one of the hosts of the eNTRAMURAL League 2021.

Moreover, the efforts of the USG Creatives are also to be acknowledged, composed of Kean Amparado, Monica Huertas, John Frankie Tongo, and Christian Gabriel Saberon, whose talents and skills made this year’s eNTRAMURAL League a triumph, ensuring that UICians can experience a quality online festivity production.
